Generations of Care You Can Count On
South London Dental Care Centre has proudly served London, ON, for over 40 years. Founded by Dr. Susan Rumble and Dr. Jack McLister in 1978, we’re a multigenerational, family-led practice.
Today, Dr. Rumble works alongside her daughter, Dr. Jennifer, and son-in-law, Dr. Jason Frolow, with the support of Dr. Quinn Boyko. We’re honoured to care for second and third-generation families who trust us with their smiles.
With early morning and evening appointments, innovative technology, and a compassionate team, we make dental care accessible, informative, and personalized. Whether for routine visits or more complex treatments, we take the time to listen and offer judgment-free care.
We’re proud to be a family practice serving other families, and we’d love to welcome you to ours.

Frequently Asked Questions
At what age should I start taking my child to see the dentist?
The Canadian Dental Association encourages a dental assessment of infants within 6 months of the eruption of the first tooth or by one year of age.
How can I prepare my child for their first dental appointment?
The best preparation for your child’s first visit to our office is maintaining a positive attitude. Show your child the pictures of the office and staff on the website. Let him or her know that it’s important to keep teeth and gums healthy and that South London Dental Care Centre will help to do that.
There are many “first dental visit” children’s books available today at the library, Amazon or online. Read a colourful book with your little one to bring their upcoming visit alive.
Baby teeth aren’t permanent. Why do they need special care?
Although they don’t last as long as permanent teeth, your child’s first teeth play an important role in the way your little one speaks, smiles and chews, as well as holding space in the jaw for permanent teeth.
My child plays sports. How can I protect their teeth?
If your little one plays hockey, basketball, or another sport, ask us about getting a custom-fitted mouthguard to protect their teeth, lips, cheeks, and gums.
Why is visiting the dentist so important?
Visiting the dentist regularly not only helps keep your teeth and mouth healthy but also promotes overall body health. Dental care is important because it helps prevent tooth decay, periodontal (gum) disease, and bad breath, while giving you a stronger, attractive smile.
How can I take care of my teeth between dental checkups?
Maintaining your oral health between dental visits is crucial. Your daily routine should always include brushing with fluoride toothpaste and flossing your teeth at least twice a day (including your tongue), avoiding tobacco and foods high in sugar, and scheduling regular checkups every 6 months.
What is a filling?
A filling is a synthetic material, including composites, gold or ceramic, used to fill a cavity after all of the tooth decay has been removed.
What is cosmetic dentistry, and how is it different from general dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry combines both art and science to give you the smile of your dreams. General dentistry focuses on maintaining your overall oral health; however, cosmetic dentistry offers comprehensive treatment options that enhance and preserve the appearance and function of your smile.
Common cosmetic treatments include:
-
- Teeth whitening
-
- Contouring/tooth reshaping
-
- Bonding
-
- Bridges
-
- Veneers
-
- Dental implants
-
- Tooth-coloured fillings
-
- Smile makeovers
Why do I need a crown?
Crowns or partial crowns, also known as onlays, are needed when there is insufficient tooth strength to support a filling. Your crown is created in a lab from your unique tooth impression, which allows a dental laboratory technician to examine all aspects of your bite and jaw movements. Your crown is then sculpted specifically for you, ensuring that your bite and jaw movements function normally once the crown is in place.
Do you screen for oral cancer at every visit?
Yes, at every visit, we perform an oral cancer screening. This includes a visual examination, palpation of suspicious tissues, and, if necessary, biopsy of those tissues.
